The name of this group of the Dao people, is the Dao Huan Chet, which in Vietnamese literally means "Dao in tight pants.” They live in the provinces of Hoa Binh and Thanh Hoa in the north of the country, and, like all the peoples of Vietnam, they have a special and unique costume. The headscarf, presented here is a festive headdress of young girls and not married women. It is made of wool, stitched with white thread and decorated with red and white silk pompons and long pendants of beads, flowing down onto the woman’s shoulders. Vietnam, Thanh Hoa.
