This usual for Asian Muslim man’s headwear has a pronounced Indian flavor and comes from the Ganges valley. The Indian style is achieved by intricate embroidery in the form of the so-called "Turkish cucumbers", and numerous beads. Such caps are worn mostly by teenagers and young adults, while more conservative generation prefer either a less flamboyant white takyya worn for prayer or additionally conceal the head with a scarf.
