Male

Men's wool cap of thick dark brown shades with a flat or slightly convex top called the tasak in Armenia. The top is usually decorated with a woven Christian cross, while the headband can contain a variety of geometric patterns, as seen in the picture : triangles, diamonds, crosses and hexagons. Both laity and clergy of the Armenian Apostolic Church wear tasaks. The tasak is very close to the headdress of the Georgian region of Khevsureti - but Khevsur caps have more vivid colors and mandatory crosses on sides of the headband. Armenia.
