Suklong is a small round cap with a flat or convex top, common among the peoples of the island of Luzon. Made from durable plant fibers, its weaving is so strong that it can withstand tropical downpour. Suklong can have no decorations, but here the central element is a wooden statuette of a woman with outstretched hands wearing a tall headdress. The explanation for this statuette should be in the mythology of the Ifugao people.
