Another example of man’s headgear of the famous Ifugao, headhunters from the island of Luzon, the Philippines. It is made in the form of a hoop on the basis of cane tied with a red and black stripe of wool. On top there is a reed crosspiece supporting the hoop on the head, and it is enshrined with a stuffed bird's head. A multitude of rooster feathers completes the ensemble; today such headgear can rarely be seen worn by the Ifugao, but the Kongkongs appear more frequently in tourist shops.
