This headdress of eastern Chuvashia, stored and altered for several centuries. The Russian silver coins, sewn on the headband, dated the first half of the 17th - early 18th century, after which they disappeared from circulation. Later the coins were replaced with fine silver items. In total onto the hushpu were stitched approx. 200 silver items and beads. This married woman's headdress was made at least 300 years ago.
